CloudRx is now Molecule CloudRx: what's changing and what isn't

Written by Molecule CloudRx | Oct 16, 2026, 8:29:28 AM

If you've used CloudRx before, you might have noticed a new name and a new look over the last few weeks. CloudRx is now Molecule CloudRx. Same pharmacy, same service, same people behind it. The only thing that's really changed is the name on the door.

We know a rebrand can leave people wondering what else has moved, so here's a plain run-through of what's different and, more importantly, what isn't.

Why the new name?

In March 2026, CloudRx became part of Molecule Group plc, alongside our sister businesses Hyperdrug and Webmed. Molecule is building a regulated UK ePharmacy group, and bringing everything under one name makes it much clearer who we are and who stands behind us.

For the clinics, prescribers and vet practices we work with, it means a bigger group behind the service you already rely on. For anyone discovering us for the first time, it means one recognisable name instead of several separate brands.

What's changed

Not a lot. You'll see:

  • A new name. CloudRx is now Molecule CloudRx, and the company is Molecule CloudRx Ltd.
  • A new website. We've moved to cloudrx.molecule.co.uk. Old cloudrx.co.uk pages redirect automatically, so any bookmarks or links you've saved will still get you to the right place.
  • A new look. New logo, new colours, and the Molecule branding across our site, emails and documents.

What hasn't changed

This is the bit that matters most if you're already prescribing with us:

  • The pharmacy. We're still the same GPhC registered pharmacy, registration number 9011284. You can check it on our regulatory information page.
  • The company. Molecule CloudRx Ltd keeps the same company number, 12320975. It's the same business with a new name, not a new supplier.
  • How you prescribe. Whether you send prescriptions through our web-based prescription pad or our pharmacy API, everything works exactly as it did before.
  • Your integrations. Our PMS integrations with Semble, Cliniko, WriteUpp, Carebit, e-clinic, MidexPRO and Jump EHR carry on as normal. You don't need to reconnect anything.
  • Your login. Clinic and patient logins haven't changed.
  • Your patients' experience. They still get a secure payment link, their medication is dispensed by our pharmacy team, and it's sent out on tracked delivery to their door.
  • Pricing. It's still free to use, with no setup fee.

Do you need to do anything?

No. There's nothing to sign, switch or update on your side.

If you'd like to tidy things up, you could update any patient leaflets, web pages or email templates that mention "CloudRx" so they say "Molecule CloudRx" instead, and point links to our new website. But there's no rush, and old links will keep working in the meantime.

A few questions we've been asked

Is Molecule CloudRx the same company as CloudRx?

Yes. It's the same business, the same GPhC registered pharmacy (9011284) and the same company number (12320975), now trading as Molecule CloudRx as part of Molecule Group plc.

Is CloudRx still running?

Yes, just under its new name. Every service CloudRx offered is still available through Molecule CloudRx.

Why does my patient's paperwork say Molecule CloudRx?

Because that's our name now. If a patient asks, you can reassure them that it's the same pharmacy that has always dispensed their prescriptions.

Has the website address changed?

Yes. Our website is now cloudrx.molecule.co.uk. Anything on the old cloudrx.co.uk site redirects there automatically.

Who is Molecule Group plc?

Molecule Group plc is the parent company of Molecule CloudRx. It's listed on AIM and brings together CloudRx, Hyperdrug and Webmed under the Molecule name. You can find out more on the Molecule investor relations site.

Thanks for sticking with us

To everyone who has prescribed with CloudRx over the years, thank you. The name is new, but the service you rely on is the same, and we're looking forward to what being part of Molecule lets us do next.
